Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met today at his office in the Amiri Diwan with Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom HE Liz Truss and her accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the country.
The meeting dealt with discussing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, in addition to reviewing regional and international developments, particularly in Afghanistan.
In that regard, the Secretary expressed her thanks to HH the Amir for Qatar's role in evacuating UK citizens from Kabul, and its efforts in the peace process in Afghanistan.
