DOHA: ExxonMobil Qatar conducted a two-day Tamayoz training course this month for more than 30 individuals from Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas and RasGas who work on capital projects, an area of specific interest as Qatar continues to develop large-scale energy projects in the country.
“Professionals working on capital projects within the energy sector face cost and schedule pressures from challenges such as design changes, equipment lead times, resource management and integration with existing operations,” said Alistair Routledge, Vice-President of Production for ExxonMobil Qatar Inc. “We are pleased to share with our partners in Qatar the learnings and best practices we have acquired from facing and overcoming these very challenges ourselves, over many years and in various parts of the world.”
ExxonMobil Qatar assigned one of its top subject matter experts with over 30 years of experience to deliver the course, with the objective of providing a better understanding of cost engineering, cost data, scheduling, and project controls for those in attendance. The Tamayoz programme is a key ExxonMobil undertaking that conveys the company’s direct support for Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and the development of its national workforce.
