New York: Qatar participated in the joint meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and People’s Republic of China, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi represented Qatar at the meeting.
During the meeting, the Assistant Foreign Minister said that the joint meeting is of great importance in developing relations and strengthening the existing friendship between the GCC countries and the People’s Republic of China in various fields.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views to come up with a common vision that works to achieve common interests and goals between the two sides.
Qatar is looking forward with a sincere desire to develop and strengthen these relations and diversify their fields in order to achieve cooperation and rapprochement at all level, he said.
He added that Qatar will provide all support to move relations forward for the benefit of governments and peoples.
He underlined the State of Qatar’s belief in the importance of economic and commercial cooperation between the two sides, and its keenness that the partnership contribute to deepening, strengthening and developing relations of common interest.
The Assistant Foreign Minister expressed Qatar’s aspiration for the continuity and sustainability of these meetings, to discuss cooperation and friendship relations in all fields.
