DOHA: Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi is confident of achieving results as his team is set to take on Al Ahli at their home turf in their Round 6 match at the QNB Stars League match today.

Al Sailiya have enjoyed a good start in the League and are placed at 4th spot in the standings with 9 points, while Al Ahli are 9th with 6 points.

“We are ready to face Al Ahli. They are a good team with a competent coach and players in all departments,” Trabelsi said ahead of the match.

“We will be very happy if we can collect full points from this match.”

Al Sailiya coach said his team was in good confidence after defeating Al Kharaitiyat in their previous match.

“The victory over Al Kharaitiyat has boosted their morale, so we are expecting a strong reaction from them. Especially since they have players who have good potential.

“I presume Al Ahli will show their true level against us. They have improved a lot ever since the start of this season. Our goal this season is not easy with Al Arabi, Al Gharafa and Umm Salal breathing down our neck. We are working hard to improve our results,” he said.

“We took advantage of the recent international break by having a closed camp and playing a friendly match. We are ready technically, physically and psychologically to face Al Ahli,” said Trabelsi.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli coach Milan Macala said Al Sailiya are a balanced side, and it will be a tough game.

“First of all, congratulations to Al Sadd for making it to the AFC Champions League semifinal. They have made Qatar football proud.

“Coming to our match this week, Al Sailiya are a strong side. They defend well and are also good in other departments of the game. They have a good coach in Sami Trabelsi, who has been with the side for long,” said Macala before stressing for a good defence in the match.

“We must be wary of their attack as they have scored seven goals from four games.

“We were happy that we could collect full points from our last match against Al Kharaitiyat. Sometimes, we played nicely, but did not win. Last time, we got a good result too,” he said.

“With more players coming back from injuries, I see further improvement in our performance. We can do a lot more.”

The other match today will see Al Kharaitiyat taking on Umm Salal at Al Khor Stadium.
