Doha: Qatar University (QU) participated in the 27th annual European Association for International Education conference in Glasgow, Scotland, on September 15-18. It also set up an information booth among over 150 exhibitors on the sidelines.
QU’s participation came as part of its strategic plan 2013-2016 to showcase its undergraduate and graduate programmes and promote collaboration opportunities with regional and international institutions.
QU was represented by Masoud Nasser Al Yami, Marketing and Communications Manager, External Relations Department, who welcomed visitors to the booth, including representatives of international universities. They were briefed on QU academic programmes, courses, admission criteria and entry requirements.
Al Yami said: “QU is pleased to participate in such an international forum that brings together universities, higher education institutions and researchers from around the world and from which will emerge opportunities to network, collaborate and share experiences. This highlights QU’s commitment to advance regional and international dialogue on higher education quality and strengthen its international reputation for sound academic and research exchanges and partnerships in line with its strategic plan that outlines goals to become a key partner in driving forward Qatar’s ambitions to be a leader in quality education in the region.”
He also highlighted the conference’s agenda that included topics important to QU which the QU team communicated to visitors to the booth such as opportunities to study abroad, STEM, and the link between student accommodation and success.
