Qatar advanced to the second round of the inaugural West Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, currently being held in Bahrain, following a 3-1 victory over Oman in their second Group B match. Qatar delivered a strong performance, claiming the first two sets 25-19 and 25-16.
Although Oman managed to take the third set 25-23, the Qatari team quickly regained control to seal the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set. This result builds on their earlier straight-sets win over Saudi Arabia and confirms their place in the next round. Qatar will conclude its group stage campaign today against Kuwait, seeking a third consecutive win to progress with a flawless record.
