Master CC, Wings Doha register wins at West End Park Ramadan Tournament

Doha: Master Cricket Club recorded close victory at the West End Park Ramadan Tournament when they edged out Ramaco Cricket Club by one wicket, here at the West End Part Stadium on Saturday. 
Masters CC won the toss and elected to bowl. 
Ramaco’s Raheel hit 76 runs and Noman 42 to help secure a 154/6 total in their batting innings of 20 overs. 
Masters’ Khadeer was in majestic form scalping 4 wickets to earn the official Man-of-the Match Award. 
Masters CC took to the crease and thumped 157/9 in 18.1 overs to clinch a one-wicket victory. 
The main contributors were Mihira (48) and Chamara (25). 
In impressive form for Ramaco were Farukh and Wajid who claimed 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
In other match, Wings Doha CC won the toss and chose to bat. They posted a modest total of 114 all out in 19 overs with Arvind (33) & Raabi (21) their main contributors.  
Mavoj and Numan took two wickets apiece to help stifle the Wings attack. 
Galfar were unable to capitalise during their batting innings and produced a 98 all out performance in the full stipulated 20 overs. 
Arvinda (17) & Samadho (19) were the highest scorers. 
Wings’ Sri Lankan internationalist Dilhara claimed three wickets and Arvind (adjudged Man-of- the-Match for his all-round performance) took two wickets to edge their side to a 16 run victory.
The Ramadan Tournament matches are currently in the group stages which are conducted in a round robin format. 
There are two groups of six teams while eight teams will qualify to the quarter-final stages. 
The West End Park Ramadan Tournament started on July 6with twelve teams entering - ten from the Qatar Cricket Association A Division (and the two Challenge Cup Finalists will be eligible). 
The tournament creates added excitement with prize money up for grabs (Winners = QR 50,000)
Matches are being played at 7:45pm and entry is free for the public. Event partners of the West End Park Ramadan Tournament include Vodafone, Doha Bank, Sprite, Century 21, U Save Cars, Solo Events, Green Facilities & Gulf Bridge Services, each provide valuable services.
