Doha, Qatar: Qatar Chamber Second Vice Chairman, Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, met yesterday with Piotr Matczuk, Chairman of the Polish State Development Fund, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, and H E Tomasz Sadzinski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, along with a number of Qatari business owners.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation relations between the two countries in the fields of trade and economy, the available investment climate and opportunities, and ways to enhance cooperation between Qatar Chamber and the Polish Development Fund.
Speaking at the meeting, Rashid Al Athba praised the strong relations between Qatar and Poland in various fields, particularly in trade and the economy.
He noted that the volume of trade exchange between both countries reached QR4.2bn in 2024.
For his part, Piotr Matczuk, Chairman of the Polish State Development Fund, praised the strong and friendly relations between Qatar and Poland.
He noted that he was accompanied by a delegation comprising several heads of leading Polish companies operating in the sectors of energy, information technology, transportation, and logistics. These companies, he said, are eager to establish partnerships and alliances with Qatari counterparts.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, a prominent Qatari businessman, affirmed the interest of Qatari businesspeople in exploring the Polish market and identifying promising investment opportunities.
