Doha, Qatar: Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) in coordination with the Embassy of India, Qatar will organise a mega event “Cultural Fiesta 2023” to mark International Labour Day 2023 at Asian Town Cricket Stadium parking on May 26 from 5pm to 10pm.
The fiesta will showcase a variety of cultural programs from Indian blue-collar workers in Qatar, Associate Organizations of ICBF and various Indian cultural groups in Qatar. Indian Embassy officials, eminent personalities from Qatar and Indian communities are expected to grace the occasion.
Highlighting the event’s significance, ICBF will Honor five exceptional individuals who have dedicated over three decades of their lives as low-income employees in Qatar. These remarkable individuals will be honoured for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions to the nation’s progress.
Rang Tarang promises to be a mesmerising display of culture and talent, bringing together the labour community and fostering appreciation for their significant role in Qatar’s development. Ahead of the event, a press meet was held at IICC Kanjani Hall which was attended by ICBF president Shanavas Bava, Advisory Board chairman SAM Basheer, General Secretary Varkey Boban, Vice President Deepak Shetty, Past President and Program committee Chairman Vinod Nair.
ICBF is seeking nominations for the initiative to honour five long- term serving labours who have been residents of Qatar for more than 30 years, at the event.
In this context, ICBF invites all community members to come forward and nominate individuals who have tirelessly dedicated themselves to their work and the community and are working with an organisation or with their sponsor as domestic help (No Freelancers are eligible to participate).
The details of required for nomination include name, length of residency in Qatar, nature of work and company/organisation (no freelancers), mobile number and brief description of the nominee.
