Doha: Maharashtra Mandal Qatar (MMQ), affiliated to Indian Cultural Centre under the aegis of Embassy of India, organized two-day MMQ Sports League 2022 on May 5 and 6 at MIC sports complex at Mesaieed.
The sports league saw many different activities like lemon spoon race, sack race, tyre race apart from throw ball competition, single wicket cricket and also limited overs men’s cricket tournament where 8 teams participated. Total of about 300 members participated in the events.
MMQ had recently organised holi festival at Al Safiya Island, an educational trip to Al Thuraya Planetarium for children and also participated in Passage to India.
All winners and runners-up were facilitated by trophies and medals. This was the first sports league in the history of MMQ with so many outdoor sporting activities.
“MMQ MC committee members were actively involved in making this MMQ Sports League 2022 successful and we thank all the members who participated in the event to make it a grand success,” an official said.
