Ministry denies rumours about imported rice

DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has denied that a batch of imported rice is not fit for human consumption.
The rumour has spread through an anonymous voice recording saying that the fourth batch of its rice shipment is expired.
The Ministry stressed that it checks all supply of commodities to be sure about its safety, validity and quality through laboratory checks in collaboration with concerned authorities.
The Ministry has urged people to communicate with the Ministry in case they have inquiries or complaints related to validity of goods through its email: [email protected] , or through Twitter at @MEC_QATAR.
