Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs yesterday. They reviewed bilateral relations and means to enhance them. They also discussed a number of issues of common interest.
Meanwhile, senior finance and investment officials met at the Ministry of Finance’s headquarters with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Anne Patterson, during her visit to the country.
They discussed financial and economic cooperation and means to promote mutual investments. Ambassador of the United States of America to Qatar Dana Shell Smith attended the meeting.
Djibouti: Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahmoud Ali Yousouf has received a message from Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah connected with relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing them. The message was handed over by Qatar’s Ambassador Jassim bin Jabir Jassim Surour during a meeting today with the minister.
Doha: Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Lorenz Seehofer arrived here yesterday. The Bavarian premier and his delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by Minister of Energy and IndustryH E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Qatar’s Ambassador to Germany Abdurrahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi and German Ambassador to Qatar Angelika Renate Storz-Chakarji.
