Doha, Qatar: The third edition of the KIMS Health Weight Loss Challenge, organised by Expats SportEve, has commenced with the goal of promoting the well-being of expatriates in Qatar.
Indian Sports Centre President, EP Abdurahman, inaugurated the programme at the Meshaf KIMS Health Centre by presenting the first registration card to Expats SportEve President Abdul Gafoor.
He praised the initiative, stating that it is a commendable effort to conduct such programmes in the midst of the fast food era. Abdurahman emphasised that beyond the competition, this programme will assist individuals in cultivating a healthy lifestyle.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted with speeches from ICBF Vice-President Deepak Shetty, Secretary Mohammed Kunji, Cultural Forum President Chandramohan, KIMS Health Administrator Dr. Rahul Munikrishna, KIMS Health Marketing Manager Iqra Mahazir, and push-up world record holder Shafeeq Mohammed. The programme was overseen by General Convenor Ahmed Shafi.
The participants underwent primary weight check-ups, blood glucose, blood pressure, dental, and dietician check-ups. The one-month long competition includes health training programmes led by expert trainers, with the winners being awarded gold coins.
