Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) will be conducting a series of information sessions for prospective students with interest in the unique and extensive array of graduate programs being offered by its five well-established colleges.

The sessions, to be held from tomorrow  to February 6, will provide comprehensive details on HBKU’s graduate programs with a focus on curricula, advanced research opportunities, and admission requirements.

In attendance will be the deans, associate deans, faculty, admissions team, current students, and alumni, all of whom will share a collective objective of helping potential applicants gain a firm understanding of what they can achieve at HBKU.

Nasser Ahmad Al Binali, head of enrolment at HBKU, said, “The information sessions are an opportune time for prospective students to engage with faculty members whose guidance will help them make informed decisions about the next chapter of their academic journey.

“Research is incorporated into all of HBKU’s programs to ensure our students gain practical, hands-on experience that complements their theoretical knowledge.

These sessions will also serve to highlight the distinctive opportunities that are available at each of our colleges.”

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) will host its information session tomorrow at Penrose House (formerly LAS Building) in Education City from 5.30pm.

Prospective students can visit Minaretein (formerly College of Islamic Studies Building) in Education City on January 23 at 6.30pm to learn more about the masters and PhD programs offered by the College of Islamic Studies (CIS).

The College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) will hold its information session on January 29 at Penrose House as of 5.45pm.

Meanwhile, an information session for the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) will be held on January 30 at Penrose House from 4.45pm. Attendees can look forward to live demonstrations showcasing some of the innovative work taking place at CSE.

Potential applicants can also learn about the Juris Doctor (JD) which is offered by the College of Law and Public Policy (CLPP) on February 6 at Minaretein from 6pm.

The JD program is the only one of its kind in the MENA region, and it trains students from a range of disciplines in the skills needed to understand the convergence of the systems of civil, common, and Sharia law, all of which underline Qatari law.

Interested can register to attend one or more of HBKU’s information sessions on  https://hbku.edu.qa/en/infosessions.
