DHAKA: Shakib Al Hasan has been the most expensive buy in this year’s Bangladesh Premier League auction. He was bought for $365,000 by Dhaka, after six teams showed interest in the all-rounder yesterday.
Among the overseas players, names from Pakistan commanded top prices.
Imran Nazir, who was bought for $280,000 by Chittagong, became the most-expensive overseas buy, a report on www.cricinfo.com revealed yesterday.
Dhaka forked out $275,000 for Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi making him the second most expensive overseas buy.
Pakistan’s ace spinner Saeed Ajmal also raked in a good price tag, winning a contract worth $115,000.
