Doha: Qatar National Library recently concluded an exciting competition for children and young adults, titled “My Mini-Library,” to enhance personal development and help cultivate reading habits.
Young learners aged 6 to 14 years participated in the competition and explored their creative abilities as part of the submission requirements.
They were asked to state why they should be awarded a mini-library and submitted a few sentences and a drawing to express themselves. Entrants were also given the option to nominate a family member or a friend for the mini-library prize.
Ahmad Tamer Yahia and Amis Bibin were declared the winners of the competition in an Instagram Live event recently.
They will be awarded with a mini-library bookshelf for their homes, with books handpicked especially for them, by the librarians at Qatar National Library.
