Madinah: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, concluded the intensive Qur’anic course for students at the Al-Noor Qur’anic Educational Center.
The two-week course took place at the Masjid Al Nawabi in Madinah, with the participation of 23 outstanding Qatari students from the center.
This course aimed to enhance the impact of the Qur’an on students’ souls and hone their skills in memorisation, revision, and recitation. The ministry said that the course sought to achieve comprehensive educational and spiritual objectives, particularly instilling the love of the Qur’an in the souls of young people, training them in discipline and commitment, and teaching them the etiquette of visiting Madinah and the Masjid Al Nawabi.
The ministry noted that the course worked to develop their personal and social skills, and emphasised achieving a balance between seriousness and entertainment by combining intensive Qur’anic study sessions with purposeful, organised recreational activities.
General Supervisor of the Al-Noor Qur’anic Educational Center Yousef Hassan Al Hammadi emphasised that this course represents a practical interpretation of the center’s vision of preparing a distinguished Qur’anic generation that lives the Qur’an in behaviour and values, not just memorisation. He pointed out that the strategic goal is to qualify Qatari students to become imams, preachers, and callers capable of representing the country in international Qur’anic competitions and serving the community with their knowledge and morals.
At the conclusion of the course, outstanding students were honoured. Prizes were distributed to participants who achieved the highest memorisation and review scores, and to students who excelled in discipline, good behaviour, observance of prayers, and active participation in all activities. This course reflects the ministry's efforts to care for children and youth, and to invest summer vacation time in purposeful programs that reinforce Islamic identity and foster a Qur’anic-minded generation with a balanced personality.
