Doha: Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Al Gharafa SC made a brilliant comeback to overcome German side FC Nuremberg 3-1 in a preseason friendly on Tuesday.
Congolese goal machine Alain Dioko was the hero as Al Gharafa fought back after conceding a lead in the 16th minute of the first half.
Mohsen Al Yazidi helped Al Gharafa leveled the lead before Dioko scored two second half goals to give Cheetahs a commendable victory. Tunisian player Yassine Chikhaoui also excelled in the match.
The club’s technical team was keen to field as many players as they could in order to evaluate the players’ level of physical and technical ability.
So far the Cheetahs have scored an impressive 9 goals in just 3 friendly preseason matches.
