Doha: Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari, welcomed the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, H E Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al Alimi and the accompanying delegation, to the library on the occasion of their visit to the country.
Dr. Al Alimi toured the library and discussed future collaborations, cultural exchanges and boosting cooperation between Qatar National Library and libraries in Yemen as well as cultural institutions.
Dr. Al Kawari said: “We are pleased to welcome His Excellency, Dr. Rashad to the library. Yemen is one of the most ancient Arab, Islamic and human heritage sites in the world and we look forward to collaborating and supporting them to preserve Yemen’s important heritage to share with the region and the world.”
As part of its mission to preserve the nation’s and region’s heritage, the library will continue to invest its efforts to share knowledge and empower future generations across and beyond Qatar.
