HMC, Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation sign MoU for joint cooperation

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF) have signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation. 

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, chairman of the Board of Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation, and  Ali Abdullah Al Khater, CEO of Corporate Communications at HMC, in the presence of Nasser Al Naimi, Deputy Chief Quality Officer & Co-Director Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, Hamad Medical Corporation.

The terms of the memorandum of Understanding, it cover areas of cooperation between ALF and HMC, including sponsoring  community projects, programs, and initiatives intended for extending support to HMC patients, such as blood and organ donation campaigns, mental and social support programs, extending material support to needy patients,  as well as facilitating  community awareness campaigns through forums and training courses for the community, in addition to cooperation in the field of medical conferences.

Following the execution of the MoU, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani said, “Since its foundation, ALF has been keen at supporting programs and initiatives which promote corporate social responsibility in Qatar, and build partnerships with GOs and NGOs in educational, healthcare, communal and charitable domains. We, at ALF nurture the development of education, healthcare, and strive to place charity where it belongs.” 

“Signing this MoU with HMC culminates many previous projects and initiatives sponsored by ALF,including, but not limited to, health awareness campaigns, blood and organ donation campaigns, educational activities for pediatric, cancer, and kidney patients at hospitals and healthcare facilities,” added Sheikh Faisal. 

Ali Abdullah Al Khater said: “The MoU with ALF represents a vital initiative aiming at enacting cooperation between the two parties to serve the interests of patients. I am quite confident that this MoU will open new horizons for HMC to further boost its awareness and health education activities, such as blood and organ donation campaigns, and enable HMC to extend more financial and social assistance to needy patients”. 

Nasser Al Naimi, on his part, expressed delight to have the MoU signed describing it as central to serving patients’ interests and improving patients experiences during their healthcare path. He commended the MoU as an exemplary means to boost corporate partnership between HMC and other organizations in Qatar.
