Doha: Director of Football at Al Sadd Mohammed Ghanem Al Ali said Friday that winning HH the Emir Cup was a great achievement.
Speaking to the press after the match, the director expressed his delight at winning the most valuable competition of the year, noting that Al Sadd has a special bond with the competition. He added that Al Sadd's strong performance in the final highlights the club's status and desire for winning.
On the penalty kick that the referee gave Al Sadd, the director remained coy on it and said that the team gave a strong performance throughout the match and threatened to score on several occasions regardless of anything else.
On the other side, Director of Football of Al Rayyan Ali Salem Afifa offered his apology to the fans for not winning the title this season after losing to Al Sadd.
