DOHA: Government departments and entities are expected to launch 1,000 e-Services by 2016-end, a senior government official said yesterday.

According to Al Malki, more than 70 government entities have been linked to the government network and the number of entities that have joined Government Contact Centre has doubled to 18. These entities provide some 35 e-Services through the centre. The Government Data Centre is currently joined by 12 government entities. The number of entities implementing Qatar’s Government Resource Planning Programme (Mawared) also reached 39.
Minister of Information and Communications Technology and Chairperson of the committee H E Dr Hessa Sultan Al Jaber also attended the forum which reviewed progress in implementation of the strategy.
