New Zealand’s Governor General receives Qatari ambassador credentials

WELLINGTON: The Governor General of New Zealand Sir Jerry Mateparae received Monday credentials of HE Yousif bin Ali Al Khater as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to New Zealand.

At the outset of the meeting, HE the Ambassador conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and their wishes of best of health and happiness to the Governor General of New Zealand and more progress and prosperity to the government and people of New Zealand.

For his part, New Zealand’s Governor General entrusted the Qatari Ambassador to convey his greetings to HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent wishing them best of health and happiness, and the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

He also wished the Qatari Ambassador success in his new mission.

Bilateral ties and means of bolstering them were reviewed during the meeting. (QNA)
