The Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) Index soared 159.73 points yesterday. The QE Index surged to 1.48 percent to close at 10,920.69 points, yesterday, compared to the close of 10,760.96 points on Sunday.
The volume of shares traded increased to QR844.68m yesterday from QR378.17m on Sunday. The volume of shares traded increased to 395.12 million yesterday from 153.16 million on Sunday while the value of shares increased to QR844m from QR378m on Sunday.
Salam International, Investment Holding Group, Industries Qatar, Qatar Islamic Insurance and Qatar International Islamic Bank were among the top gainers, as their shares rose 9.9 percent, 5.04 percent, 4.72 percent, 4.64 percent, and 3.4 percent, respectively.
Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance, Al Ahli Bank, Qatar General Insurance & Reinsurance, Baladna Company and National Leasing were among the top losers, according to Qatar Stock Exchange data.
