The Next Generation (TNG) school organised Annual Day, which drew appreciation from the parents and students at the TNG Ain Khalid campus.
From colourful bright displays by the kindergarten to motivational short skits by the primary, TNG annual day was graced by beautiful and dramatic performances by the young talent of TNG.
Director of the school Riyaz Ahmed Bakali said: “Our students have demonstrated excellent leadership qualities and public speaking skills on the stage. Such events build confidence in the students and prepare them for future challenges”.
TNG honoured individuals notable for their contribution in the field of education with Education awards. Chief Guest of the evening Rashid Nizam, Pakistan Embassy Community Welfare attaché, gave away the awards.
First Education award was presented to Malik Qaiser Awan, General Manager of Ezdan Shopping Malls. He and his wife have dedicated their lives in promoting education through the platform of Pakistan Welfare forum platform especially for the socially and economically deprived people.
Mohammed Atiq worked with Doha Bank from 1979 till 2006 and retired as an advisor. He has also been a member of the board of governors of Pakistan Education Center and is currently chairman of Urdu forums’ Majlis-e-frogh e Urdu Adab, Aalami frogh-e-Urdu Adab and Shaiqeen-e-fun. His commitment to promote Urdu language was honored with an Education Award.
Founder of Pak Shamma School, the first private school in Qatar, M A Shahid was presented education award by Pakistan Embassy Defense attaché Masud Akram, for his devotion in promoting education in the expatriate community. The last nominee of the awards, Anjum Imad had been a member of the TNG staff and was honoured for her contribution in designing and implementing the Islamic curriculum in school.
TNG also presented long- service awards to the members of staff who served the institution for five years. Fahad Ismael Zainal, Chief Administrator Officer at the Qatar Financial Centre, did the honours.
Huma Khan, Co-ordinator of Key Stage I, was presented the long-service award.
Samina Jahangir, senior Quran teacher, was presented the next award for her excellent teaching services in senior classes. Fortune Dunesinghe, kindergarten teacher, was awarded the long-service award for her services in the kindergarten for five years.
The award segment marked an end with Bakali presenting the ancillary award to the school guard, who is known as “Babaji” by all the children of the school, and children assistant Pyari Begum for her efforts in tending the needs of small children.
The chief guest was honoured with a shield presented by Bakali.
Anas Kaseem Al Onazi, Director of Public Relations and Communication, Khalid Sayeed Al Sheaibi, Director of Public Relations and Community service at Al Noor Institute, and General Ali Al Sheaibi were presented shields for their excellent services in the community.
