Al Shahaniya Municipality represented by the Municipal Control Section last year conducted 11,198 inspections within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality.
The Municipality’s inspectors carried out 1,442 inspection drives against food establishments, such as restaurants, warehouses and commercial stores within the municipality’s administrative borders.
During the campaign, the municipality took 56 samples of foodstuffs and sent them to laboratory to ensure that they are fit for human consumption.
The Public Monitoring Section implemented 5175 inspection drives in the areas affiliated with the Municipality of Al Shehaniya, where it seized 197 violations related to the Public Cleaning Law, and also removed 197 abandoned vehicles.
Over 4,000 inspection visits were conducted by the Technical Monitoring Section at the Municipality to monitor building violations without licenses. The section has issued 73 decisions to remove violations of the infringement of state property, (145) building completion certificates for new buildings, and (445) Port Cabin transport licenses.
