Doha: Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha organised its first Qatar National Day event after it opened recently, as a stunning reimagined property on the site of Doha’s first ever and much-loved historic 5-star hotel of the 1970s.

The Rixos Qatar National Day celebration event kicked off with an impressive cake cutting to celebrate Qatar and its government for staging the hugely successful World Cup.

The highlight of the event was the Rixos Qatari Corner that included activities from the Qatari culture such as traditional dance (Al Ardaa), henna painting and Arabic calligraphy. Also, traditional Qatari dishes were served. Rixos became the first 5-star all-inclusive all-exclusive hotel and beach resort to open in Qatar, reiterating the brand’s commitment to offering a fresh perspective on discerning travellers’ idea of paradise.    Rixos has redefined the meaning of all-inclusive luxury by creating meaningful experiences from a blend of abundant cuisines, sports activities, professional entertainment, kids’ activities and immersive spa experiences.

Guests at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha enjoyed being part of the Qatar National Day celebrations and appreciated the memorable culinary event featuring the delectable cake cutting.

Sherif Kasseb, Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha General Manager, commented: “We are truly proud to celebrate our first Qatar National Day since we opened and have ensured all our guests join in to thoroughly enjoy the event and understand its significance. Coming after such an enormously successful World Cup it is a great occasion to acknowledge the immense achievement of the country welcoming the world to Qatar to watch the football and explore what it has to offer.” Celebrated annually on 18 December, the holiday was established by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and holds great significance for the Qatari people as it underlines their unity and core values of loyalty, solidarity, and pride.
