An exciting weekend is here as there are lots going on in Qatar with Ajyal Film Festival kicking off and The Pearl-Qatar hosting the boat exhibition. Here are a few you could choose from below.

Drive-in Car Cinema (Ajyal Film Fest) 

Ajyal Film Fest this year has an hybrid version of the festival that includes online movies, movies in theatre and a drive-in car cinema at Lusail. Here is the list of movies playing this weekend.

Torba Farmers Market

The popular market is back at Ceremonial Court in Qatar Foundation with the Covid-19 precautionary measures in place. Offering a wide range of products including freshly-baked goods, fruits, vegetables, homemade preserves, syrups, and handicrafts, the market is a hit among the community.

‘Outbreak’ Art Exhibition

Doha Film Institute’s (DFI) 8th Ajyal Film Festival is presenting the ‘Outbreak’ art exhibition in Msheireb Downtown Doha, the flagship project of Msheireb Properties. Featuring inspiring works of art from 24 local talents that represent the unique trials of this year to honour global action and solidarity.

‘Outbreak’ is presented in line with government guidelines and with the health of all visitors as the top priority.

Qatar International Boat Show

The 7th Qatar International Boat Show (QAWARIB 2020) is on at the Porto Arabia in The Pearl Qatar, the only marine event to take place since Covid-19 pandemic hitting the world. More than 18 brand new boats mostly made in Qatar are being exhibited. 

The event is taking place every day at The Pearl Qatar till November 20, 2020 from 2:30pm to 9:30pm.

Healthcare workforce Exhibition

An exhibition launched to celebrate Qatar’s healthcare workforce and their efforts during the current pandemic has opened in the courtyard of Doha’s Fire Station arts complex. For more info, click here

“Glimpse of Nature” brings together a diverse range of practices and processes presented by current and past members of the Fire Station. Nature can be a source of inspiration as well as a source of materials for art. For more info, click here

Enclosed Realities Exhibition

Enclosed Realities showcases the artist’s exploration of our perception of reality and its limitations using abstract colours. Originally from Italy, Puppin works interrogate individual and unique view of the world by examining her own interpretation of reality. For more info, click here

"Directions” - Virtual Exhibition

Katara in cooperation with Dar Hessa presents The Virtual Exhibition "Directions" by a group of artists. To view the exhibition, click here

Traditional Handicrafts Exhibition

The third exhibition for traditional handicrafts happening at the Cultural Village Foundation includes participants from Arab and foreign countries, showcasing folk costumes, wooden handicrafts, embroidery works and much more.

Republic of Color Exhibition

Katara presents “The Republic of Color”, an exhibition of 25 masterpieces of Dominican painting.

Tasty Street

Tasty Street Qatar, a drive thru food festival organised at Katara with over 300 food kiosks. The event will be held until March 2021.

Splendours of the Ancient East: Antiquities from The al-Sabah Collection

In celebration of the deep-rooted and unique relationship that Qatar shares with Kuwait, Qatar Museums is proud to present Splendours of the Ancient East: Antiquities from The al-Sabah Collection. The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) will unveil the landmark exhibition, Splendours of the Ancient East: Antiquities from The al-Sabah Collection, in its Temporary Exhibition Gallery. Tickets must be purchased online in advance of your visit.

Vintage cars exhibition

The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) has a unique vintage car exhibition aimed at providing visitors with an opportunity to walk down memory lane of the country’s rich history which will display 12 cars commonly used by the public in Qatar between the 1970s and 1990s.

You will be required to show your EHTERAZ app on entry and to wear your own face mask.
