Doha:The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has organized the first national workshop on crises and disaster management in the health sector, with the participation of more than 40 experts from the state's health corporations.
The event comes within the council's training series as part of its work to build national capacities in the field of crises and disaster management.
The course aimed to educate participants on the basics of disaster management and classifying them, treating the injured at the scene and hospitals, and drawing the basics of emergency plans and response to disasters.
Participants discussed fundamentals of the national health plan on disaster management to be one of the pillars on which the whole sector relies in dealing with crises and disasters.
