Hamad Port, Qatar's gateway to world trade, reached a milestone as it safely handled the heaviest load for 2022 on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
The operator of Hamad International Port, QTerminals announced that it had successfully and safely handled the heaviest load for 2022 on its social media.
The cargo weighing 113 tons (113,000kg), at the General Cargo Terminal, were offloaded using two Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHC) with tandem lifting.
Prior to this QTerminals had sucessfully offloaded a transformer weighing 163,000kg in July 2021, which was the heaviest break-bulk unit ever handled at the port.
