Doha: Assistant Foreign Minister H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met separately yesterday with Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar H E Khaled Badr Al Mutairi; Ambassador of Sudan to Qatar H E Ahmed Abdel-Rahman Mohamed Hassan Siwar Al Dahab, and Ambassador of Rwanda to Qatar H E Igor Marara Kayinamura.
The meetings reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and the respective nations, ways of supporting and strengthening them, and the latest preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
A number of issues of common interest were also discussed.
Al Khater also met with a delegation from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the cooperation aspects to improve the Palestinians’ situations in the occupied territories, in addition to discussing the situations of the Palestinian refugees in the Arab and foreign countries.
During the meeting, the Assistant Foreign Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s supporting position for the Palestinian people in a range of political, development, educational and economic fields.
She affirmed that the Occupation’s dangerous practices in Jerusalem violate the international resolutions on the status of east Jerusalem.
