
Doha: The 37th session of GCC Social Affairs Ministries undersecretaries began here Monday to strengthen march of GCC joint action in the field of labor and workers.
Speaking at the event, Qatar's Assistant Undersecretary for Social Affairs and chairman of the current session Ahmed Nasser Al Nasser said that the event is part of a continuing series of meetings of the council of Labor Minister, during which a set of achievements have been realized. He said that the meetings contributed to the strengthening of coordination and cooperation of joint GCC work. It also provided a foundation for economic integration among the GCC countries, he added
Al Nasser expressed his hopes to continue the achievements and contribution to reach results that enhances cooperation, coordination and integration in order to achieve objectives and aspirations of the GCC leaders and citizens.
The Qatari officials said that the meetings took place in light of local, regional and international variables that will have direct impact on the labor market and workforce in the region. He stressed that GCC member countries must in turn continue to make strong strides and activate efforts to face the challenges with a common and clear vision that serves GCC citizens.
