Volunteers from Al Meera during a clean-up drive on Bin Ghannam Island, in Al Khor, yesterday.
Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment represented by the General Cleanliness Department organised a campaign to clean beach of Bin Ghannam Island in Al Khor.
The campaign was held in coordination with Al Meera Consumer Goods Company on the occasion of World Cleanup Day 2021 which falls on third Saturday of September.
The participants collected cans, plastic bottles, wood and used tires. The Ministry lauded the community contribution in cleaning beaches, islands and ports for supporting its efforts for maintaining hygiene at those places.
