Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Wednesday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly HE Dr Khalil Rahman, who is currently visiting the country.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister congratulated HE Dr. Khalil Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, expressing his best wishes for his success.
They also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them, the latest regional and international developments, and a number of issues of common interest.
They also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations in addressing global challenges, particularly in the areas of peacebuilding, sustainable development, and climate change.
