Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met yesterday with Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) H E Hussein Al Sheikh, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena, in addition to regional and international developments.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position in support of the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and its adherence to international legitimacy, relevant Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative as a basis for achieving a just and sustainable peace that guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
