Doha, Qatar:  Meera Consumer Goods Company has been named the winner of ‘IMAGES Most Admired Customer Experience Initiative of the Year’ at the IMAGES RetailME A&M Awards THETAG 2025, held on the 15th of May at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina, Dubai.

The award was presented by IMAGES RetailME, the Middle East’s foremost retail business intelligence platform, and recognizes retailers who have redefined customer experience through personalization, innovative design, in-store technologies, and customer-centric strategies.

This prestigious honor celebrates Al Meera’s commitment to placing the customer at the heart of its transformation journey. As Qatar’s trusted neighborhood retailer, Al Meera has embarked on a series of strategic upgrades across its network, enhancing convenience, accessibility, and satisfaction in every store.

Through a customer-first transformation strategy, Al Meera has undertaken one of the most extensive retail upgrades in Qatar — guided by the evolving needs of families, communities, and everyday shoppers.

The company has opened several new-generation branches, including Ain Khaled and Thumama South, which feature elevated interiors, wider aisles, digital screens, and self-checkout systems that offer greater convenience and accessibility. 

Older branches such as Mansoura have been demolished and rebuilt from the ground up, while six more locations have undergone full renovations to modernize layouts, improve traffic flow, and better reflect local shopping habits. The award submission also recognised Al Meera’s introduction of new retail formats tailored to customer accessibility and convenience.

Among them is the Al Meera Floating Supermarket, a first-of-its-kind mobile store that serves coastal communities and recreational boaters along Qatar’s shores, offering a curated selection of essentials and refreshments.
