Paris--Europe's main stock markets in the eurozone surged at the close on Tuesday with the CAC 40 in Paris climbing 2.09 percent to 5,117.30 points, while the DAX 30 in Frankfurt soared 2.23 percent to 11,853.33 points.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index ended the day up 0.38 percent at 6,995.10 points, with gains tempered by news that British inflation fell into negative territory for the first time since 1960.
