Olive International School announces admissions for evening shift

DOHA: After getting approval from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Olive International School (OIS) yesterday announced opening of registration and admissions from grade 1 to 8 for evening classes.

Addressing a press conference, Davis Edakulathur, Chairman of Olive International School,  said that the evening classes will be held from 1:50pm to 7:10pm from Sunday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday.

The chairman further said that entrance test will be conducted for the selection of the students for all the classes. “The evening session will have the same facilities, standards and features as the existing morning shift. The school will offer the same fees structure for both sessions,” he added.

He said that the two-shift system will provide ‘great relief’ to students. “Evening classes will only be held in Thumama campus as the parents and children can easily access the campus. Transfer from other schools is not approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the evening shift,” he added.

It was also announced during the press conference that teachers were available for the evening classes and a new set of qualified teachers would also be joining the school very soon for the evening classes. “The classes are commencing from April on wards.”

Press meeting was also attended by Geetha Somesekhara, Vice Principal of the school and Seema Guleria -Academic coordinator of the school.
