Doha: Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs organised an honouring ceremony for those working in the service of pilgrims, at Ritz-Carlton Doha.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, was present.
Organised under the theme ‘More than half a century in the pilgrims’ service’, the ceremony paid tribute to those who served pilgrims for over 50 years.
Al Mahmoud said, “The ceremony follows directives of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and is in recognition of our fathers and sons who served the pilgrims. QNA
