Doha: A group of Ministry of Labour employees took the legal oath to serve as judicial officers before Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri yesterday as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the supervisory role in work sites and labour accommodations in all regions of the country and facilitate services provided to beneficiaries.
Assigning some employees of the Ministry of Labour the capacity of judicial control officer contributes to controlling violations at work sites and authorising the inspector to enter workplaces and workers’ residences to control and release violations in the event of non-compliance, which raises the level of supervision over establishments with regard to labour legislation in various regions of the country.
