Doha: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has chosen Qatar for the prestigious three-day course, according to Qatar Cricket Association General Secretary Manzoor Ahmad.
The ICC has nominated three qualified instructors Mohammed Iqbal Sikander (the head of the instructors team, Venkatapathy Raju and Amin ul Islam to conduct the Coach Educator Course from August 4 to 6.
The main eligibility for the participants is that they must be Level 3 coach. Two participants from each country - Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Iran and Qatar – are expected to attended the course.
In a QCA press release, Ahmad said, “This is a great opportunity to develop the sport all-round from the lower level to national teams. The biggest advantage from the course is the Lavel 1 and Level 2 coaches can be upgraded to Level 3, according to the requirements of each participating nation.
“The Qatar Cricket Association is grateful to the Qatar Olympic Committee for its approval and offering all the required facilities for the course,” he added.
The Coach Educator Course will be hosted at Holidays Villa on C Ring Road and all the preparations have been done by QCA as per the ICC rules, the press note said.
