Cairo: The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), participated in the 23rd meeting of the Middle East Regional Air Navigation Planning and Implementation Group (MIDANPIRG/23) and the 13th meeting of the Regional Aviation Safety Group in the Middle East (RASG-MID/13), held in Cairo from June 14 to 18.
The meetings brought together representatives from member states of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), technical experts from civil aviation authorities, international organizations, and key regional industry stakeholders.
Discussions focused on accelerating regional cooperation, optimizing air navigation planning, and aligning regional implementation priorities with ICAO's global strategic objectives. Delegations also reviewed operational frameworks to enhance efficiency, strengthen security protocols, and drive long-term sustainability across the air transport sector.
The dual forums served as a critical platform for exchanging institutional expertise, reviewing current regional challenges, and identifying global best practices aimed at upgrading the Middle East's broader aviation ecosystem.
