DOHA: Vodafone is holding a fundraising challenge #GivingChallenge that will see four Qatari youth using their social media influence to raise funds for their chosen charity during Ramadan.
Abdulaziz Yousef, Ibrahim Yasser, Rashid Al Kuwari and Saoud Al Maadeed will use their social media channels to encourage followers to vote for their chosen charities via Vodafone’s website www.vodafone.qa/GivingChallenge.
For each vote, Vodafone will donate QR20 to each charity by Ramadan-end.
“The challenge is an opportunity for the public to discover new ways to do good in the giving spirit of this holy month. Abdulaziz, Ibrahim, Rashid Saoud are examples of Qatari youth whose charitable souls I am confident will raise significant funds for their chosen charities while raising awareness about the work the charities do,” said Dana Haidan, Head of CSR, Vodafone Qatar.
Yousef, also known as Temsa7, is one of Qatar’s best known cartoonists whose work has received critical acclaim.
He also takes his passion for the art of cartoons to his profession at Al Jazeera Children’s Channel and Jeem Children’s Channel.

Yasser graduated from Qatar University and is an activist with a focus on education.

Al Kuwari, another renowned cartoonists whose work is enjoyed by thousands and whose recent YouTube show was viewed by over 500,000 in Qatar.
