Students browse through books during Birla Book Fair at Birla Public School.
Doha: The Birla Book Fair, hosted by the department of Library at Birla Public School (BPS) in collaboration with Crescent Bookshop, Qatar, was held from May 7 to 10 at Birla Public School.
The book fair was inaugurated by Academic Director-Principal, Harish Sanduja, in the presence of all section heads, officials from Crescent Bookshop, teachers and students. The aim of the book fair was to cultivate the habit of reading books among students and bring them closer to the world of books and authors.
Crescent Bookshop had set their stalls at three campuses of BPS (Primary -1, Primary-II and Main Campus) with a large collection of books from different genres and authors for students from KG-1 to Grade XII.
The fair offered students a wide selection of books to choose from, which included short stories, fiction and non-fiction, and dictionaries and reference books.
Accompanied by the class teachers, the students of all sections visited the fair enthusiastically and purchased their favourite authors' books. The programme was highly appreciated for its systematic and comprehensive organisation.
