Doha: Qatar welcomed the signing of an agreement by President of Afghanistan HE Dr Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and HE Dr Abdullah Abdullah to share power in the country, and considered this agreement an important step in the path of achieving political stability in Afghanistan.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its aspiration that this agreement will contribute to speed up the start of the Afghan-Afghan negotiations.
The statement stressed that the State of Qatar will spare no effort in continuing its unremitting efforts in these negotiations with international actors to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan.
