UAE Police air-lifts elderly Emirati woman from atop mountain

DUBAI: The Aviation Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police saved an elderly Emirati woman from atop a mountain in the emirate.

Lieutenant  Pilot Said Rashid Yamahi, Head of department, said the operations room received information about an elderly UAE national woman who was unwell and was at an altitude of about  4,500 feet above sea level.

RAK Police dispatched a helicopter to the site, reported a local daily.

The elderly woman was administered first-aid and transferred immediately to Saqr Hospital.

Lt. Pilot Yamahi said RAK Police is at all times ready to meet any emergency.
