In light of the recent developments and measures taken by the competent authorities including closure of some parts of the Industrial Area as a preventive measure to limit the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, employees and workers of the printing press of Dar Al Sharq are facing difficulty to move in and out of the Industrial Area.
Therefore, we are currently planning to operate with the minimum number of employees and the necessary resources. Accordingly, Dar Al Sharq Group has decided to stop printing of all foreign publications to give priority to the printing of The Peninsula, Al Sharq and Lusail newspapers.
Accordingly, local newspapers of the Group will be issued and printed as long as the circumstances allow. In case our esteemed readers could not get The Peninsula, Al Sharq and Lusail newspapers at sale points or receive copies being the subscribers it will be purely because of current conditions and we apologise in advance to our esteemed readers in this regard, further assuring them that the newspapers will continue publishing in print as long as the situation allows, along the digital copies on their websites.
We pray Almighty Allah will remove this epidemic from us and bestow safety, security, health and wellness upon the leadership, people and residents of Qatar.
