The Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, honoured yesterday the Qatari inventors who participated in the 11th International Invention Exhibition in the Middle East, recently held in Kuwait.
The Qatari inventors were honoured for their generosity and their honourable representation of the State of Qatar during the International Exhibition, having won 14 medals in a strong competition, including eight gold medals, three of which were awarded to Major Ali Hassan Al Rashed of four inventions presented to the exhibition.
Two inventions were awarded the prize of H H the Amir of the State of Kuwait, while five gold medals were awarded to each of the inventors: Mohammed Ahmed Lari, Saleh Saeed Safran, Jaber Al Mutlaq, Salim Abdullah Al Shahwani and Hanan Khamis Al Shammari. The Qatari innovators also received four silver medals for each of the innovators: Afra Al-Kaabi, Major Ali Hassan Al Rashed, Jaber Al Sulaiti and Salem Abdullah Al Shahwani, while the two inventors Sheikh Ali bin Salman Al Thani and Mahmoud Sawalha were awarded bronze medals.
