Doha: Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhroo affirmed that celebrating the Qatar National Day has connotations that transcend the individual to include the nation in its collective entity and orientation, which has solid memories and deep values, as it is a day that has national connotations and a role in forming the Qatari identity with Arab and Islamic dimensions.
In a statement to QNA, H E the Minister said that the lessons to be learned from this occasion are many, especially following the example of the Founder of the State of Qatar Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani in his wisdom, patience, knowledge, strength, and good governance of the country with determination and the relentless pursuit of its unity and sovereignty until it gained its independence on this great day.
H E the Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs added that the celebration of the National Day plays a major role in promoting the values of loyalty and belonging to the country among all citizens at all levels, in addition, it instills the spirit of pride in this generous nation, and establishes the pillars of loyalty and belonging to Qatar among citizens.
H E the Minister continued: “I send a message to every citizen and resident on this good land, and urge them to follow the example of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed, by showing determination, wisdom, patience, and knowledge in achieving their goals and overcome any challenging difficulties as the Founder did until Qatar gained its independence.”
He added that Qatar today is soaring high among the ranks of nations through its march of accomplished achievements in all walks of life and various fields, adding that it is a march that everyone can be proud of.
H E the Minister affirmed that the Qatar has strengthened its global presence and bypassed all difficulties and challenges, despite the unjust blockade, but it stood tall through its steadfast stances, successful policy, and discreet men who honoured their country in all international forums and various levels and fields.
H E the Minister said that the Second National Development Strategy (2018-2022) emphasised the need to give priority for building the capacities of ministries and central agencies with central functions, particularly the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs.
He added that the Ministry is achieving the goals set within the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030, adding that it has made great progress in achieving the goal of increasing the participation of Qataris in the workforce, as one of the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, by providing incentives to encourage them to occupy the higher technical and administrative professions in the sectors of business, health, and education.
H E the Minister explained that the Ministry’s Strategic Plan 2018-2022 focused on setting a system for monitoring government performance, building an integrated system of institutional processes to achieve excellence in providing government services, developing the capabilities of government agency employees, and increasing the number of those enrolled in the specialisations required for the labor market.
