Qatar Rail celebrates National Day

Qatar Railways Company  (Qatar Rail) held a ceremony marking the National Day of the State of Qatar at its headquarters in Al Sadd area. This year, the event included several activities focusing on the country’s historic values and cultural customs.

“Qatar Railways seeks to foster the spirit of citizenship among its Qatari employees by celebrating this important national occasion and at the same time we aim to introduce employees to the richness of Qatari culture through various activities,” said Eng. Abdulla Abdulaziz Turki Al Subaie, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Rail. He added: “we are pleased with the interaction which demonstrates the solidarity between the people and its leadership. The statement of His Highness “Promise of Prosperity and Glory” is the biggest incentive for us to move forward with determination to achieve the objectives of the comprehensive development renaissance we aspire for under the guidance of our wise leadership”

The ceremony commenced with raising of the Qatari flag at the main entrance of the company with the national anthem of the State of Qatar in the presence of senior management of the company, executive directors and all employees. The event was attended by all employees of the company. The employees enjoyed the different activities such as falconry, traditional games, homemade Qatari dishes and traditional costumes photography.

Qatar Rail has recently produced a special song on the occasion of the national day, “Our Homeland in Prosperity “. The artwork showcases the pride the company takes in achieving its mission, determination to overcome challenges and its aspiration to deliver a world class transportation system to the people of Qatar.
